About Alexander E. Ward, MD

Dr. Ward, Director of the Women’s Heart Center, is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular care for women. She focuses on identifying often-overlooked risk factors and symptoms, developing personalized treatment and lifestyle plans, and engaging patients in shared decision-making. Her clinical interests include cardio-obstetrics, cardio-oncology for women, cardiovascular conditions more prevalent in women, and prevention. Dr. Ward completed her medical training at UMDNJ–New Jersey Medical School, the University of Maryland Medical Center, and the Jefferson Heart Institute, and is affiliated with Jersey City Medical Center.

About our Mentoring Program

The Women of Commerce Mentoring Program is a professional development initiative designed to connect aspiring women higher education students and recent graduates with accomplished women professionals across Hudson County. This six-month program is curated to foster leadership, build confidence, and provide mentees with meaningful insight into real-world business and professional environments.

Women of Commerce is a member network of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce that empowers women from all industries, sectors, and segments, and their allies, providing leadership, educational programs, professional development opportunities and activities that serve women in business.
