About Louise & Jerry's
A True Family-Owned Business
So my aunt and uncle bought the bar from the Schaeffer family and wheeled it into Louise & Jerry’s on dollys. In fact, my uncle was the bartender all by himself until he developed a heart condition, which hurt his ability to keep working.
Then my aunt quit her job and started to bartend in 1970 all by herself until she had a stroke in 1994. She ran the bar in a strict manner. Women were second-status when it came to the pool table. If men wanted to use it, women couldn’t play. 
Continuing the Legacy
Eventually, my father, Anthony 'Rocky' Romano took over the bar and made some changes such as adding cable, an ice machine, and air conditioning.
In 1998, my father passed away and my mother took over when she was in her '80s. My mother passed away in 2005, and in 2010, after years of litigation, I inherited the bar.
